The lecture/presentation entails a long-ignored history, beginning in 1775, extending to the War of 1812, the Civil War years, World Wars I and II, the nuclear era, the Cold War and finally, prospects under the new administrations of both countries of kinship, marriage, and/or divorce.
BIO:
Professor Gary Evans taught in the Department of Communication at the University of Ottawa, Canada. As a film historian and published author, he began his professorial career in journalism and documentary filmmaking. He has lectured internationally and his expertise includes the history of the U.S. and Canada, the Caribbean, World War II, Europe and Japan.
